The only level is wherever you are.
Krishna says:

My dear Arjuna, because you are never envious of Me, I shall impart to
you this most confidential knowledge and realization, knowing which
you shall be relieved of the miseries of material existence. (Bg. 9.1)

This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all
secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct
perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of
religion. It is everlasting, and it is joyfully performed. (Bg. 9.2)

The only level is wherever you are.
Music, which is sound, serves the purpose, first and foremost, of
being the object of the sense of hearing. Music is a variation of
sounds composed in ways that are pleasing to the ears. The ears are
the receptors of sound.

Of course, different kinds of music are pleasing to some, and annoying
to others. In any case, sound, or music, has a powerful effect on the
mind. Music can calm the mind, or disturb the mind. It can titillate
the mind, scare the mind, depress the mind etc. In short, music
affects the mind i various ways.

There is even research showing that when you play classical music to
cows, they give more and a better quality of milk, and when you play
death-metal music to cows, they give less milk.

So, music can evoke all kinds of emotions in both humans and animals,
even in plants.

In Hollywood, the effect of music on the mind is a known science.
Sound tracks in movies are used to make us feel triumphant, happy,
sad, scared and so on. When our eyes get moist from a sad scene in a
movie, it is from the sound track, not the pictures.

Sound is the first element of creation, and from sound all other
physical elements evolved. The Vedic Version states that all creation
evolved from sound.

First there is sound, and sound produces space or ether. It even says
in the Bible - first there was the word.

So all the elements of matter (three subtle and 5 gross) proceed from
sound. It goes from subtle to gross - false ego, intelligence, mind,
space, air, fire, water and earth. These 8 elements and their
qualities (senses) constitute matter.

The sense of space is sound. The sense of air is feeling. The sense of
fire is form. The sense of water is taste. The sense of earth is
smell.

Also, the quality of an element is present in the one that precedes
it. Thus space contains only the quality of sound. From sound proceeds
air, which contains both the qualities of sound and feeling. From air
proceeds fire that contains the qualities of form, sound, and feeling.
From fire proceeds water with the qualities of taste, feeling, form
and sound, and from water proceeds earth possessing all these
qualities, plus smell.

That's also how the yogis and sages of former times had what we today
would call supernatural powers. But it's not really supernatural. It's
completely natural. You just have to know the science behind it. When
you know the right sounds, you can create or dissolve matter. This is
known to some degree in modern science, after it was observed that
certain sound frequencies can splinter glass. And the Bible describes
how the walls of Jericho were crumbled by sound.

So, the Shruti portion of the Vedas contain mantras, knowing which,
one can manipulate matter. Obviously, this only works when the mantra,
or the sound, is pronounced exactly right. That's why one has to learn
this from a living teacher. Shruti means, that which is heard. You
have to hear the mantra and learn how to pronounce it, in order for
the sound of the mantra to have the desired effect. For instance, the
Bhagavat Purana documents an event, where the sages killed king Vena
by uttering sounds.

Now, the shmriti portion of the Vedas contain the philosophy and
theology, the moral and ethics, and the histories of ancient India.
Shmriti means that which is remembered. You can learn about philosophy
and religion by hearing it from someone, who has remembered it. Your
understanding of what is being taught is not dependent on the the
correct pronunciation of the Sanskrit. You simply have to remember it,
and it will work even though the language is not spoken in a certain
way.

That's also why the Sanskrit of the Vedas is different in the shruti
and the shmriti. Some scholars have suggested that it shows how
Sanskrit has changed over time, but that is pure speculation without
any support in the Vedic tradition. According to the Vedic tradition,
what is seen is simply two types of Sanskrit in shruti and shmriti.

The shruti mantras are to be pronounced precisely, in order for them
to work. The shmriti mantras merely have to be remembered. Philosophy,
theology, religion and history you remember. Mantras to kill people,
or to create strong winds and rain, or fire, or whatever, have to be
pronounced exactly correct. Kardama Muni created an entire mansion in
the sky by sound vibrations. That happened in Satya-yuga, several
million years ago when the science of uttering mantras were known to
the Vedic sages.

Krishna says:

O conqueror of wealth, there is no truth superior to Me. Everything
rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread. (Bg 7.7)

O son of Kunti, I am the taste of water, the light of the sun and the
moon, the syllable om in the Vedic mantras; I am the sound in ether
and ability in man. —Bg 7.8

I am the original fragrance of the earth, and I am the heat in fire. I
am the life of all that lives, and I am the penances of all ascetics.
— Bg 7.9

O son of Pritha, know that I am the original seed of all existences,
the intelligence of the intelligent, and the prowess of all powerful
men. — Bg 7.10

I am the strength of the strong, devoid of passion and desire. I am
sex life which is not contrary to religious principles, O lord of the
Bharatas [Arjuna]. —Bg 7.11

Know that all states of being – be they of goodness, passion or
ignorance – are manifested by My energy. I am, in one sense,
everything, but I am independent. I am not under the modes of material
nature, for they, on the contrary, are within Me. —Bg 7.12

Deluded by the three modes [goodness, passion and ignorance], the
whole world does not know Me, who am above the modes and
inexhaustible. — Bg 7.13

This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material
nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto
Me can easily cross beyond it. —Bg 7.14

Those miscreants who are grossly foolish, who are lowest among
mankind, whose knowledge is stolen by illusion, and who partake of the
atheistic nature of demons do not surrender unto Me. (Bg 7.15 )
